Took an excessive amount of time, but finally got the lamp my grandmother gave me updated. Turns out painting a chevron pattern is hard, but I followed a tutorial I found on, where else: Pinterest. I used a gold paint I found at Michael’s for the shade, and lucky for me K had some leftover spray paint (in Oil-Rubbed Bronze) from a project she’d done, so I didn’t have to get a whole can for this tiny little guy.
Turn it up a Stitch 
Man, I didn’t realize that even THEN I was taking over your decorating life-poster, spray paint…if you only knew the monster you’d unleashed!
